Position Overview

The Head of Fundraising and Partnerships will lead fundraising efforts, building strategic partnerships, and driving organizational growth. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who is passionate about using fund development for social impact and has experience in fundraising, partnership development, and nonprofit leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Growth

  • Develop fundraising strategy in alignment with Wasla Connect’s mission.

  • Act as the public face of Wasla, representing the organization to funders, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for scaling impact and expanding reach.

Fundraising & Financial Sustainability

  • Lead fundraising efforts, including grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement.

  • Build relationships with foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors to secure sustainable funding.

  • Oversee budget development and financial planning to ensure long-term viability.

Partnership Development & Advocacy

  • Cultivate partnerships with tech companies, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.

  • Advocate for Wasla’s mission at conferences, panels, and industry events.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, social entrepreneurship, or tech-driven impact initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with corporate partners, funders, and community stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing teams and overseeing program operations.

  • Passion for technology, education, and empowering communities in conflict-affected areas.

  • Excellent public speaking, communication, and advocacy skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in technology, education, or international development.

  • Experience working with displaced communities or in conflict-affected regions.

  • Familiarity with the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
